1.The Zodiac Killer…

From 1968–1969 a serial killer who named himself “Zodiac” terrorized San Fransisco with his murder spree, taunting the police with his coded letters to the local paper. He had five killings directly connected to him but he claims that he had killed 37 people. His terror began with Betty Lou Jensen at the age of 16 and David Arthur Faraday at the age of 17, was found dead lying in a gun-peppered car.

Jensen was found dead with 5 gunshots wound on her back, while Faraday died of a bullet to his head on his way to the hospital. Half a year later, a couple who parked their car four miles away from the crime scene was also gunned down and there was one injured and one was killed, The survivor, Micheal Mageau, was able to describe the killer. He described the killer as a heavyset white man who was around 5'8". And the remaining evidence should be given to the police by the Zodiac killer himself.

On the same night around 12;48 the police received a really creepy phone call. “I wish to report a double murder. If you go one mile east in Columbus Parkway to a public park, you will find the kids in a brown. They have been shot with a nine-millimeter Luger. I also killed those kids last year. Good-bye” A month later, newspapers received the first letter from the Zodiac Killer. He demanded them to publish the letter on the front page or he’d go on a killing spree. The letter described the murders which were written in mysterious ciphers which seemed to form a code. This was a common theme with other letters he would send, all signed with a crossed-circle symbol.

One such letter was decoded by a high-school teacher and his wife. It read:

“I LIKE KILLING PEOPLE BECAUSE IT IS SO MUCH FUN IT IS MORE FUN THAN KILLING WILD GAME IN THE FOREST BECAUSE MAN IS THE MOST DANGEROUS ANIMAL OF ALL TO KILL SOMETHING GIVES ME THE MOST THRILLING EXPERIENCE IT IS EVEN BETTER THAN GETTING YOUR ROCKS OFF WITH A GIRL THE BEST PART OF IT IS THAT WHEN I DIE I WILL BE REBORN IN PARADISE AND THEY HAVE KILLED WILL BECOME MY SLAVES I WILL NOT GIVE YOU MY NAME BECAUSE YOU WILL TRY TO SLOW DOWN OR ATOP MY COLLECTION OF SLAVES FOR MY AFTERLIFE EBEORIETEMETHHPITI.”

The Zodiac Killer continued killing people until October 1969. But unfortunately, the case remains unsolved…….
